Monday,  Sept. 22nd - Center for Civic Engagement Information Table
10am–2pm Breezeway      
         Join the Center for Civic Engagement and Service in helping to raise awareness of hunger and poverty. Come out, participate and learn more about this crisis that we face every day by visiting them on the breezeway or any of their events during the week of September 22nd – 26th.   LEARN HOW YOU CAN HELP!

Tuesday, Sept. 23rd – Film & lecture by the Homeless Coalition
12pm–1pm Sugar Palm room, Student Union   

          View the short video and become more aware of poverty and how you can help in your local community

Tuesday, Sept. 23rd – Nickel and Dimed panel presentation
4pm–5pm KH 102, Barry Kaye Hall

          Hear from experts who will discuss issues facing the working poor in terms of healthcare, housing, social issues and more!  Bring your questions and comments!

Wednesday, Sept. 24th - Trade your Lunch Day
11am – 2pm, Breezeway

         Visit the Center for Civic Engagement table in the breezeway and trade your lunch for bread and peanut butter/jelly to help raise awareness of poverty and hunger. Canned and boxed food is welcomed.  All donated food goes to a local hunger relief organization

Thursday, Sept. 25th - Nickel and Dimed Author, Barbara Ehrenreich on Campus
2:00-3:00pm – Lifelong Learning Auditorium

          Discussion on race, gender and class in the upcoming presidential  election
3:30-4:30pm – Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium in the Student Union
         Ehrenreich Keynote address
4:30-5:30pm – Grand Palm Room in the Student Union
          Book signing and reception with Ehrenreich

Friday, Sept. 26th - Caring Kitchen Visit
9am – 1:00pm, meet in front of Student Union at 8:30 to carpool

          Volunteer and help others who are in poverty and are hungry at this soup kitchen located in Delray Beach.
