Freshman Convocation 2013
Information for Faculty
Faculty's Role in the Convocation
The Freshman Convocation is the official beginning of first-time-in-college students' entry into Florida Atlantic University. As a faculty member, you are here in large part because of the
extraordinary students who are our partners in the exploration for knowledge. You are the heart
and soul of the academic enterprise at FAU and your attendance at the Freshman Convocation represents your commitment to FAU's newest members of the community of learners.
The Freshman Convocation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013, the day before the first day of fall semester classes.
The 45-minute ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Location
The Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium is located inside the Student Union building. The Student Union (UN-31 on the campus map) is located on the east side of West University Drive. The main entrance from Glades Road onto West University Drive is the best route to take. Convenient parking is located in front of the Student Union in Lot 16 or you may park in Parking Garage I (PK-81 on the campus map). This garage is north of the Student Union.
