Tuition Payments

Payment Online

Payment can be made on-line via MyFau (https://myfau.fau.edu) We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.  Payment may also be made on-line by using a personal checking/savings account “WEB CHECK.”

You may encounter difficulty in completing your transaction especially during peak periods, as with any on-line payment system.  We do not recommend that you wait until the tuition payment deadline to attempt to make your payment.  The University’s on-line system is available well beyond the traditional business office hours for your convenience. 

Payment via Drop Box

The Boca Raton campus is the only campus location that provides the convenience of a drop box. Please make your check payable to Florida Atlantic University and include your student ID number, name, address and telephone number on your check.  Do not deposit cash in the drop box.  No envelopes required. 

NOTE: By depositing your check payment in the Drop Box, you are authorizing FAU to electronically process your check.  The electronic debit to your checking account may be on the same day as your check payment is processed.

Payment in Person

Effective June 30, 2012, no in person payments will be accepted. The following payment options are available:  online payment, payment by mail and payment via drop box.

Payment by Mail

Payments by check may be made through the mail, addressed to FAU, Cashier’s Office, Student Support Services-Bldg 80, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton, FL 33431.  Please make the check payable to Florida Atlantic University and include your student ID number, name, address and telephone number on your check; checks must be made out correctly to be considered on time.  Payments postmarked by the last day to pay for each semester will be considered on time; therefore, no late fees will be assessed to your student account for this reason.

Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer

It is imperative that you are as detailed as possible; the wire should provide enough information so that we can clearly identify the intended recipient and post the payment to the appropriate student account.  For more information please see our WIRE TRANSFER INFORMATION page.

Short Term Loan Application
The Short Term Loan Application will be available on MyFAU
(click on the Money Matters! tab).  This is a University monetary advance available to assist degree-seeking students enrolled at least half-time with:

  •  Purchasing textbooks

  •   Emergency funds relating to educational expenses

  •   Unanticipated living expenses

Funds should be direct deposited in student's bank account within 2 – 3 BUSINESS DAYS after it has been processed – BUT NOT BEFORE the first day of classes .  NO PAPER CHECKS WILL BE ISSUED!  Click here to view the Terms & Conditions of the Short Term Loan.

Important notes:

  • Student will need their FAU Z Number when applying for a Short Term Loan (your Z Number is located on the homepage of MyFAU).

  • Students under the age of 18 must download and submit the Parental Short Term Loan Application to the Office of Student Financial Aid. 

**All students requesting Short Term Loans are REQUIRED to sign up for Direct Deposit.

To establish a Direct Deposit with FAU:

1.       Log on to www.fau.edu

2.       Click on Current Students tab

3.       Click on MyFAU Login

4.       Enter your User Name and Password

5.       Select Money Matters! Tab

6.       Under Financial Aid Online Applications section (scroll down), click on ACH Direct Deposit Online Form

7.       Click on Student Services link

8.       Click on Direct Deposit for Financial Aid

9.      Click on Add or Update Direct Deposit Information

To establish an installment agreement (payment plan) with FAU:

10.     Log on to www.fau.edu

11.     Click on Current Students tab

12.     Click on MyFAU Login

13.     Enter your User Name and Password

14.     Click on New FAU Self-Service (OWLS ) (on the left side)

15.     Click on Student Services link

16.     Click on Student Account link

17.     Click on Account Summary by Term link

18.     Click on Pay Now

19.     Click on Enroll in a Payment Plan

Installment Plan and Applicable Fee listed below:

1.       50/50 Plan

Enrollment Set up Fee:                       $15.00

Late Payment fee of $100.00 is only assessed in the event that the Second Installment is late.

 

2.       Three Installment Plan

Enrollment Set up Fee:                       $15.00

Late Payment Fee:                             $100.00

 

3.       Four Installment Plan

Enrollment Set up Fee:                       $15.00

Late Payment Fee:                             $100.00

           

4.       Five Installment Plan

Enrollment Set up Fee:                       $15.00

Late Payment Fee:                             $100.00

***Late fee assessed is mandatory for three, four and five installment agreement***
