  • Students enrolled in medical programs in the College of Medicine are charged additional fees as prescribed by the College of Medicine.
  • Each student enrolled in the same undergraduate course more than twice, shall be assessed an additional $120.24 per credit hour charge in addition to the fees outlined above for each course.
  • Transportation Access Fee for Fall/Spring $76.90 and Summer $32.04
  • Students enrolled in special programs, such as executive graduate degrees and the College of Medicine may be charged different tuition rates.  Please contact appropriate department for details.
  • Newly admitted graduate students will be assessed a $35.00 non-refundable Graduate Student Orientation Fee the first they register.
  • Course sections coded BT, BTL, BM, ET, EM and STR will be assessed an eLearning fee of $37.00 per credit hour.

If you are an undergraduate student and you register for Graduate level courses, you will be charged Graduate course fees. If you are a Graduate student and you register for Undergraduate level courses, you will be charged Undergraduate course fees.

Undergraduate (UG) Level Courses - courses are charged by course level, not by the Student level.  Tuition and Fees are charged per course on FAU Self Service and will have these charges and amounts per credit hour.

Your student account will show charges for each Undergraduate Level course with a description of Fla. Res, Tuition & Fees - UG - $159.41 and includes Tuition $103.32, Capital Improvement Fee $6.76, Financial aid Fee 5.16, Activity and Service Fee $12.32, Athletic Fee $17.27, Health Fee $9.42, and Technology Fee $5.16 - (see chart above)

In addition there will be a seperate charge with a description of Tuition Differential and the charge is $40.13 per credit.


The total charges will be $199.54 per credit ($159.41 + $40.13)

For example , a 3 credit Undergraduate Level course would be charged Fla. Res. Tuition & Res Fees - UG of $478.23 and Tuition Differential of $120.39, for a total of $598.62 for the course.

Graduate (GR) Level Courses - courses are charged by course level, not by Student level, Tuition and Fees are charged per course on FAU Self Service and will have these charges and amounts per credit hour.

Your student account will show charges for each Graduate Level course with a description of Fla. Res. Tuition & Fees - GR $369.82 per credit and includes Tuition $303.71, Capital Improvement Fee $6.76, Financial Aid Fee $15.18, Activity and Service Fee $12.32, Athletic Fee $17.27, Health Fee $9.42 and Technology Fee $5.16 - (see chart above)

For example , a 3 credit Graduate Level course would be charged Fla. Res. Tuition & Res Fees - GR of $1,109.46 for this course.

In addition there will be a seperate charge with a description of Tuition Differential and the charge is $40.13 per credit.

The total charges will be $718.09 per credit ($677.96 + $40.13)

For example , a 3 credit course would be charged Out of State Tuition and Fees - UG $2033.88 and Tuition Differential of $120.39, for a total of $2154.27 for the 3 credit course.

Graduate (GR) Level Courses - courses are charged by course level, not by Student level Tuition and Fees are charged per course on FAU Self Service and will have these charges and amounts per credit hour:
