FAU College of Business Trading Room Opens on
Boca Raton Campus

BOCA RATON, FL (January 19, 2006) - Florida Atlantic University's College of Business will mark the official opening of its state-of-the-art Trading Room on Thursday, January 19, 2006, with a reception and tour of the facility on the Boca Raton campus. The two-hour event, which begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Sean Stein Pavilion in the College of Business, will bring together leading members of the academic and business community. The College of Business Trading Room will bridge the gap between classroom learning and business practice by bringing the reality of Wall Street finance and trading to FAU.

Hosted by FAU President Frank T. Brogan '81, and FAU College of Business Interim Dean and Professor Dennis Coates, the event will feature Mitchell Atkins, District 12 director of NASD in Boca Raton. NASD is the primary private-sector regulator of the securities industry in the United States.
