FAU Serves Up a Comedic Dish of 'Love, Laughter and Lasagna'
BOCA RATON, FL (January 17, 2006) - Florida Atlantic University's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing will offer a dose of humor with "Love, Laughter and Lasagna," a performance by comedian Loretta La Roche. The comedy show, focusing on the stress of human relationships, will take place Saturday, February 11 at 7:30 p.m. in FAU's University Center, 777 Glades Road.
La Roche, an international consultant and lecturer in the field of stress management, has helped people deal with everyday stress for more than 30 years. The acclaimed and hilarious "siren of stress" will bring her one-of-a-kind perspective for living an optimistic and resilient life with irreverent humor and an innate sense of the absurd, helping people to see how needlessly complex and stressful life can become. With her "life is too short to not have fun" approach, La Roche also will show how humor can benefit the health of an organization and its employees, and improve productivity in the workplace in this two-hour performance.
Proceeds of "Love, Laughter and Lasagna" will benefit the Initiative for Intentional Health at the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing. Monies raised will provide more lectures, seminars, and classes for a fun, group experiential approach to programs on health behaviors and lifestyle choices at the college.
Tickets cost $50 for VIP, $25 for the general public and $10 for full-time students. The VIP ticket price includes a cocktail reception before the show from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Group rates also are available. Tickets can be purchased at www.fauevents.com or by calling 1-800-564-9539.
