FAU Spring 2006 Semester Begins January 9
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (December 6,
2005)- A variety of degree programs and
course offerings are available this spring semester
at Florida Atlantic University's Treasure Coast
Campus. Classes begin January 9 and registration will
be held December 20 through January 6. Start planning
ahead! The application deadline for full admission to
FAU for the Summer 2006 semester is April 15. For
details on admission/financial aid requirements,

The spring 2006 schedule offers a variety
of courses including:
Rock and Roll in American Society- MUH
3023 -This survey course brings into focus
the roots and historical perspective of Rock &
Roll in American society. Musical and historical
events and their effect on the developments and
evolutions of Rock and Roll music from it inceptions
to the present day are explored.
Studying Violence, Organized Crime and Drug
Business- CCJ4642 - This course examines the
dynamics of the international traffic on illicit
drugs and presents and overview of the major issues
of dug control. It also provides students with an
understanding of the various organized criminal
groups that operate in the United States and that
play a major role in the illicit drug market.
Southern Literary Renaissance- AML
3263-002 - Prose, drama, and poetry by
twentieth century southern writers.
Introduction to Health Professions- HSC
3002 - Examinations of current and projected
human resources needed for the health care system
using ongoing trends and issues.
