FAU "Beads for the Bayou" Set to Help the Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort

BOCA RATON, FL (September 8, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University is initiating a relief effort for the residents of the hurricane-stricken Gulf Coast by selling black Mardi Gras beads. The beads will be sold along the Breezeway on the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, September 12.

The donation for the beads has been set at two dollars, with larger donations welcomed. Cash and checks will be accepted. All the proceeds will go towards the American Red Cross/Hurricane Katrina Disaster Fund.
