FAU Hosts Articulation Summit with
Community College Presidents

BOCA RATON, FL (June 17, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University President Frank T. Brogan will welcome the presidents of South Florida's community colleges to The Eleanor R. Baldwin House on FAU's Boca Raton campus on Monday, June 20 beginning at 2 p.m. for an in-depth discussion of issues affecting both FAU and the local community college system. Those joining President Brogan will include Dr. Edwin Massey, president of Indian River Community College; Dr. Dennis Gallon, president of Palm Beach Community College; Dr. Larry Calderon, president of Broward Community College, and Dr. Dwight Smith, associate provost for academic affairs of Miami Dade College. Board of Trustee members of the various colleges will also be in attendance.

The program will begin with opening remarks from President Brogan, followed by an update on articulation issues by FAU's associate provost and director of admissions. Following this update, a best practices roundtable will feature presentations by the community college presidents.
