FAU Student Government Celebrates Diversity Week

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (April 18, 2005)- Florida Atlantic University's Treasure Coast Campus Student Government is hosting Diversity Week from April 18-21. This event is held on campus for FAU students, and celebrates different cultures with food, lectures and music. All events will be held on the CO Building lawn. See below for schedule:

Monday, April 18
6 to 9 p.m. Mexican food, International DJ
7 to 8 p.m. Belly Dancing
8 to 9 p.m. African/Caribbean Dancers

Tuesday, April 19
6 to 9 p.m. Middle Eastern food, International DJ
6 to 7 p.m. "Breaking Down Gender Norms" Workshop with
Professor Njambi, FAU Women's Studies

Wednesday, April 20
6 to 9 p.m. Italian food, International DJ
6 to 7 p.m. "Respecting Diversity" with
Senate Speaker Rochelle Popp, FAU Student Government
7:30 p.m. Bag Pipe performance

Thursday, April 21
6 to 9 p.m. Culinary Journey; Italian and Chinese food and assorted desserts
