FAU Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing to Co-Sponsor Health & Wellness Fair

BOCA RATON, FL (March 30, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing will co-sponsor a Health and Wellness Fair at the West Gate Community Wellness Center to kick off National Public Health Week. The event is offered in coordination with West Gate Elementary School, Children's Home Society, the Beacon Program and the Palm Beach County Health Department.

The health fair will take place on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the West Gate Community Wellness Center, 1650 Osceola Drive, West Palm Beach. The event is free and open to the public.

Many booths will be set-up for adults to obtain information on cancer, diabetes, hypertension and other topics. There will also be a physical examination area for children who will be entering kindergarten. Children will be treated to a stuffed animal clinic where they will learn to take the blood pressure of patients and other tests. There will also be a bounce house for the children and the FAU Owl will be in attendance.
