Robert Friedman Speaks at University Club Dinner Meeting
BOCA RATON, FL (March 11, 2005) - The University Club recently invited Robert Friedman, Florida Atlantic University's university architect and vice president, to a dinner meeting to speak on the architectural components of FAU's campuses. The pictorial overview included details on recently completed projects, current construction and new and planned undertakings on FAU's campuses in Boca Raton, Jupiter, Port St. Lucie and Davie.
Friedman, a graduate of the University of Illinois and a registered architect, came to FAU in 1996 to oversee the design and construction of its seven campuses. He previously served as vice chancellor of the State University System of Florida and was president of his own architectural firm for 24 years.
The University Club's next dinner meeting on March 31 will feature a program by Dr. Dwight W. Warren, FAU's vice dean of biomedical programs. For information on this event, call Jane Regan in FAU University Relations at 561- 297-2082.
The University Club, founded in 1976, develops and implements fundraising projects and encourages its members to give of their time, talent and energy to help achieve the goals of the University. Over the years, the organization has contributed more than $700,000 to various University projects and annually presents two scholarships to FAU students.
