FAU's Charles E. Schmidt College of Science
to Host Statue Unveiling and Dedication

BOCA RATON, FL (February 18, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University will host a statue unveiling and dedication at the Charles E. Schmidt Biomedical Science Center on Monday, February 21 at 3 p.m. on FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.

The bronze statue, created by famed sculpture Seward Johnson, is a life-size representation of the late Charles E. Schmidt, philanthropist and friend to FAU. In tribute to Mr. Schmidt's leadership and generosity in the name of higher education, FAU's College of Science was named in his memory.
