FAU Names Dianne Reeves Assistant Vice President of University Advancement for FAU's Northern Campuses
BOCA RATON, FL (February 4, 2005) - Florida Atlantic University recently promoted Dianne Reeves to the position of assistant vice president of University Advancement for FAU's northern campuses. An integral member of University Advancement since 1999, Reeves is a seasoned development professional and major gifts officer who, to this date, has secured funds for the John D. MacArthur Campus and the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College that are valued at more than $26 million.
In her new role, she will continue to
build and implement strategies for special programs and garner
private support for scholarship endowments and capital projects
throughout FAU's northernmost service area.
"We are very pleased that Dianne will continue to help
the university grow. She has developed many important
relationships for FAU and particularly for the Jupiter campus,"
said Ann Paton, vice president of University Advancement. "I
look forward to seeing her expand and enhance our fund-raising
initiatives in this rapidly growing part of the state."
Reeves began her relationship with FAU as an advisor to FAU Football Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger. Previous consulting work in the fields of marketing and development took her behind the scenes at a number of not-for-profit organizations. Reeves is skilled as a grant writer, conference planner and financial systems manager. She served as fund-raising chair at the Benjamin School, a K-12 college preparatory school in North Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where she oversaw a series of special events and coordinated 325 volunteers. Reeves is a board member for the Palm Beach County chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a member of Executive Women of Palm Beach.
Holding an associate's degree in nursing, Reeves earned her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in Miami and a master of business administration from the University of Miami.
