The play, written by Emmy and Peabody award-winner William Mastrosimone, tells the story of an Afghan-American female physician running an orphanage in war-torn Afghanistan. A warlord on the run from government soldiers enters the orphanage with plans to use the children as human shields until he gets to the Pakistan border. After exhausting all other possibilities, the physician persuades three women who are taking refuge with her to help kill the warlord.
