FAU's Department of Theatre Donates to Hurricane Relief Efforts

BOCA RATON, FL (December 6, 2004) - In an effort to give back to the community that has always supported Florida Atlantic University's department of theatre, all proceeds from "Picnic," which was staged by the department from October 8 through October 17, will be donated to hurricane relief efforts. A check for $4,000 will be given to "Food for the Poor," which supports victims who suffered losses from the recent hurricanes. FAU students also brought canned goods to the productions of "Picnic" for donation to "Food for the Poor."
