Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center at FAU Seeks Volunteers

BOCA RATON, FL (December 28, 2004) - The Louis and Anne Green Memory and Wellness Center, located on Florida Atlantic University's Boca Raton campus, will soon open its doors to the community, addressing the complex problems of Alzheimer's disease and related memory disorders through research, education and provision of care.

In an effort to enhance community involvement, the Center is making available volunteer opportunities for the following areas -

Tour guides
Meeters and greeters
Art instructors or assistants
Craft instructors or assistants
Musical performers or leaders
Cooking instructors or assistants
Game room hosts or assistants
Educational presenters
Support group facilitators
Those who would like to get involved in one on one activities, mind enhancing groups, gardening programs, special events, telephone or clerical help, or general operations.

An orientation and training will be held for "Green Team Volunteers" on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at 10 a.m. and Thursday, January 27 at 3 p.m. at the Memory and Wellness Center, located next to the FAU Police Station. For further information, contact Jane at 561-297-2188.
