FAU's A.D. Henderson University School Celebrates its Recognition as U.S. Blue Ribbon School

BOCA RATON, FL (December 15, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University's A.D. Henderson University School will hold a celebratory event and hoist the Blue Ribbon School flag in recognition of its prestigious achievement of being named one of 239 Blue Ribbon Schools in the United States. The event will be held on Friday, December 17 at 8 a.m. in front of the A.D. Henderson University School, FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. The event is free and open to the public.

"It was a team effort that enabled us to meet the challenge and enjoy the achievement of being a Blue Ribbon School," said Dr. Marla Lee, principal of the Henderson School. "Raising the bar and reaching new goals, that is what this is about."

The No Child Left Behind - Blue Ribbon Schools program honors public and private k-12 schools that are either academically superior in their states or demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement. A.D. Henderson was one of five Florida public schools presented with the National Blue Ribbon School award.
