FAU Appoints Interim Dean for College of Business

BOCA RATON, FL (November 30, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University has appointed Dr. Dennis Coates, senior associate dean, as interim dean of FAU's College of Business. The appointment will become effective December 1, 2004.

As interim dean, Coates will provide overall leadership for the faculty and staff and the delivery of academic programs in the College of Business until a permanent dean is appointed. He will also provide leadership for the development and advancement activities of the College.

Beginning in early January, a national search will be initiated for a permanent dean for the College of Business.
