FAU Celebrates 40th Anniversary
with Founding Faculty Luncheon and Fall Family Fest

BOCA RATON, FL (October 22, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University will continue its year long celebration of its 40th anniversary by celebrating those who are the history, the present and the future of the university. On Monday, October 25, FAU will be hosting two special events - a Founding Faculty and Staff Luncheon will take place at 12 p.m. in the Grand Palm Room of the University Center, and a Fall Family Fest will occur from 5 - 8 p.m. in the courtyard near Heritage Park Towers.

The Founding Faculty Luncheon will "welcome home" those who assisted FAU in opening its doors 40 years ago. Honored guests will include founding faculty, staff and students, in addition to special community guests. A brief program will highlight the special contributions these pioneers made to bring a new public university into existence.

The Fall Family Fest is an opportunity for current faculty, staff and students to celebrate the accomplishment of FAU 40 years later. Highlights of the festival will include free food, music, games and giveaways.
