Senator Shaw to Hold Briefing on Mission to Malaysia

BOCA RATON, FL (October 19, 2004) - Congressman Clay Shaw, honorary chairman to the Florida District Export Council's Trade Mission to Malaysia, will deliver a briefing on commercial opportunities in the Southeast Asian marketplace. The event will be held Thursday, October 21 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. in the Live Oak Pavilion on Florida Atlantic University's Boca Raton campus.

The lecture will focus on the dynamic growth of the Malaysian market, particularly in the areas of healthcare, franchising, waste and wastewater treatment, oil and gas equipment, municipal and solid waste management, biotechnology, information and communication technologies, tourism, higher education and plastics materials and resins.

A cooperative effort between various entities, the World Trade Center, Palm Beach, is teaming up with FAU, the Florida Foreign Trade Association, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Florida, the International Business Council and the Broward County Office of Economic Development to sponsor this event at no cost to participants.
