All Proceeds from FAU's "Picnic" to Benefit Hurricane Relief Efforts

BOCA RATON, FL (October 11, 2004) - In an effort to give back to the community that has always supported Florida Atlantic University, all proceeds from the run of the stage production of William Inge's "Picnic," to be staged Friday, October 8 through Sunday, October 17, will be donated to hurricane relief efforts. FAU students, who are admitted to FAU plays for free, are asked to donate a non-perishable food item for relief efforts.

"Picnic" will be staged at the University Theatre on FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. Shows run October 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and October 10 and 17 at 2 p.m. Individual tickets may be purchased for $16, with group discounts available. FAU faculty, staff and alumni may purchase a ticket for $10 with ID, and FAU students may receive tickets for free with ID.
