FAU National Alumni Association Hosts
Clematis By Night Pep Rally
BOCA RATON, FL (September 22, 2004) - As the unbeaten Florida Atlantic University Owls (3-0) get set to kick off their first home game of FAU's fourth season of action-packed football, the FAU National Alumni Association will host "FAU Night at Clematis By Night" on Thursday, September 23, from 5:30 - 9 p.m., in downtown West Palm Beach's Centennial Square.
A community pep rally event, which is free and open to the public, will feature live music, food and appearances by FAU head football coach Howard Schnellenberger; Craig Angelos, FAU's athletics director; Dr. Lawrence Davenport, FAU's executive vice president; FAUNAA President Tom Workman '71; coaches from 8 other FAU athletic teams; members of the FAU football team; FAU cheerleaders; the dance team and the FAU mascot, the Big Bad Burly Bird. Performances by the FAU dance team and cheerleaders will occur at 6:30 and 7:40 p.m. In addition, the FAUNAA will raffle off a number of prizes as guests are treated to the tunes of Flight, who will entertain with their own interpretation of jazz, rock-fusion and R&B.
