FAU Offering Course in Digital Photography
BOCA RATON, FL (May 6, 2004) - Florida Atlantic University is once again offering a professional training program in digital photography and post image processing. The course begins Monday, May 10, from 7 - 9:30 p.m., and continues for five weeks. It will take place in the College of Education building, third floor on the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
Classes are taught in a modern, fully equipped, computer lab with projection equipment for easy to understand step-by-step instruction and demonstration of key image editing and enhancement techniques. Although new, exciting equipment will be demonstrated, during the course, students may bring their equipment and images for comment and instructional aid. There will plenty of time for question and answer periods from students. Adjunct Professor James L. Wilson, who authored the course lab manual, "Principles of Digital Imaging and Post Image Processing," will teach this new series of classes. Wilson has more than 25 years of professional imaging experience, including coverage of several presidential inaugurations, engagements held at the United States Congress and the United States Supreme Court. In addition, he has been actively recording events with digital equipment for the NCAA and many FAU athletic and campus events.
The cost is $380, which includes the computer lab manual with more than 200 sample images. To reserve your seat, complete the on-line form at http://www.coe.fau.edu/pdt/ or contact Wilson at 561-416-1110 or fau@bellsouth.net.
