FAU Wind Ensemble Performs "Marches in
March: A March in Time"
BOCA RATON (March 16, 2004) - The
Department of Music in Florida Atlantic University's
School of the Arts presents the FAU Wind Ensemble,
under the direction of Brian Neal, with "Marches in
March: A March in Time" on Saturday, March 27 at 7:30
p.m. The concert will take place in the University
Theatre on FAU's Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
General admission is $12 and $15, with group
discounts available. FAU students, faculty and staff
receive free admission.
The Wind Ensemble will perform
J.S. Bach's "March," Johann Strauss' "Rodetsky
March," Charles Gounod's "Funeral March for a
Marionette" and many other familiar marches.
Neal is a member of the Dallas
Brass, a nationally acclaimed brass ensemble, and
plays with the Miami Bach Society Orchestra and the
Florida Philharmonic. He has performed professionally
throughout much of the United States, Mexico and
Europe and his compositions have been performed at
the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado and the Waterloo
Music Festival at Princeton University.
