FAU Coach Schnellenberger Visits Treasure
Coast Campus For Football Rally
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (March 15,
2004) -
Florida Atlantic University Head
Football Coach Howard Schnellenberger is heading north
to the Treasure Coast Campus on Wednesday, March 17. He
will be accompanied by a group of his assistant coaches
and football players to host a football rally for the
upcoming season, a week prior to "Spring Drills." Fans
will have time to meet and talk with Coach
Schnellenberger and his team representatives from 1 to
1:30 p.m. in the campus' Ken Pruitt Courtyard.
"Much of the football team's
support comes from individuals who attend or have
attended the FAU satellite campuses," said
Schnellenberger. "Our football team wants to extend a
special thanks to all fans in South Florida, but
especially those on our sister campuses. We feel very
strongly about their support."
Students from the seven FAU
campuses supported the Owls during the team's
historic 11-3 season last fall. As the team begins
preparation for its first season playing under the
Sun Belt Conference, the team will visit the
satellite campuses in a mark of unity, bearing gifts
and gathering team support.
