FAU Hosts Information Sessions For MBASport
Program
BOCA RATON, FL (March 11, 2004) -
Florida Atlantic University's MBA in Sports
Management Program will host three information
sessions this spring for individuals interested in
obtaining a master's degree in sports management.
The sessions will take place
Friday, April 23 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 24 at
10 a.m. in room 1110 of the HEC building at the
downtown Fort Lauderdale campus and Saturday, May 8
at 10 a.m. in room 724 of the Askew Tower at the
downtown Fort Lauderdale campus.
Each information session will
discuss the MBASport program and curriculum,
admission requirements, the business of sports and
potential internships available for students in the
program.
FAU offers the only
Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
(AACSB) International-accredited MBA in Sports
Management degree in Florida. The program blends a
rigorous business curriculum with a 12-credit
specialization in which students study such topics as
sports marketing, sports law and the financial
aspects of sports management.
The program is
practitioner-oriented and encourages students to
participate in out-of-classroom practical experiences
at local and regional sports and entertainment
entities. MBASport is geared toward those who wish to
become managers and business executives in the sports
and entertainment industry.
