Regional Experts to Discuss Prospects for Peace in
the Middle East, Europe and Latin America
BOCA RATON, FL (December 30, 2003) -- Florida
Atlantic University's Lifelong Learning Society and the Peace
Studies Program of the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and
Letters presents "Bringing Peace to Troubled Regions," a one-day
conference hosting regional experts to discuss prospects for peace
in the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. The conference will
be held Thursday, January 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the Lifelong Learning

Council
for Sustainable Florida Award
BOCA RATON, FL (December 23, 2003) At the
Business Environment Learning Leadership (BELL) Conference held at
the Florida Atlantic University downtown Fort Lauderdale campus,
President Frank Brogan presented a 2003 Council for Sustainable
Florida Award to the College of Business for the development and
implementation of its innovative Environmental MBA program. Dr.
Mantha Mehallis, director of the program, accepted the award on
behalf of the college.

BOCA RATON, FL (December 22, 2003) - As the United
States prepares to elect a new leader, focus will shift to the
presidential debates and the role of the presidency. Shedding light
on this timely topic, the Florida Atlantic University Lifelong
Learning Society will present a "Presidential Symposia" to
highlight the American presidency and national security. The
eight-week lecture series begins Thursday, January 15 at 3:45 p.m.
in FAU's Barry and Florence Friedberg Auditorium, 777 Glades Road,
Boca Raton and will be held every Thursday through March 4 from
3:45 - 5:30 p.m
