DESCRIPTION: Joseph Bristow is professor of English at UCLA. He is the author of "Sexuality, New Critical Idiom" and "Effeminate England: Homoerotic Writing after 1885." Professor Bristow is the editor of the leading journal "Nineteenth-Century Literature" at UCLA. He has just completed a variorum edition of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" which will be published in 2004 by Oxford University Press.
