FAU Art Professor Tammy Knipp Nominated for 2003 Rockefeller Foundation
New Media Fellowship
BOCA RATON, FL (April 23, 2003) Tammy Knipp, associate professor of Fine Arts/Graphic Design at Florida Atlantic University was recently nominated for a 2003 Rockefeller Foundation New Media Fellowship. She was one of 60 artists nominated from across the country by a professional committee consisting of curators, exhibitors and scholars.
Knipp has extensive international exhibiting and lecturing experience. She recently presented two research papers at the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities. Her papers were entitled: Merging the Arts with Sciences, and Does the Computer Enhance or Hinder Creative Practices and Conceptual Development?
Knipp has a master of fine arts (M.F.A.) degree in sculpture from Washington University in St. Louis and an MFA in imaging and digital art from the University of Maryland. She joined FAUs faculty in 1996.
