FAU To Hold Honors Convocation
BOCA RATON, FL (April 11, 2003) – Florida Atlantic University President Frank Brogan will host the University’s 35th annual Honors Convocation on Tuesday, April 15 at 3:30 p.m. in the University Theater in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road.
The annual ceremony recognizes the University’s most outstanding students and faculty.
Students to be honored include eight University Scholars, representing each of FAU’s colleges; the Phi Kappa Phi Scholars; the Stan and Renee Wimberly Scholar and the Male and Female Academic Athletes of the Year.
Faculty honors include the presentation of the FAU National Alumni Association’s Degree of Difference Award; Teaching and Advising Awards; three University Researcher of the Year awards and the Distinguished Teacher Award, which is determined by FAU students. The recipient of this award will be announced at Convocation and will present the keynote address.
