BOCA RATON, FL (April 3, 2003) - Florida Atlantic University's Open University & Continuing Education will present the fifth annual Office Professionals Seminar & Luncheon on April 24 and 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Boca Country Club. The two-day event, held in conjunction with Professional Secretaries' Day, is expected to attract more than 400 administrative and support personnel, representing many public and private businesses in South Florida. Participants may attend either day, as the program is the same for each session.
The theme of this year's event is "It's All About You." Valeda Jennings, founder and president of Key Concepts, Inc., will emcee the seminars. Jennings has more than 25 years' experience as a professional development instructor. The program will be keynoted by Judge Ilona Maxine Holmes, a Broward County Circuit Court judge.
The agenda addresses many job performance issues for office professionals, including boosting creativity and productivity, fitness trends, and setting goals and being focused. Featured speakers include Tina Florito, director of the At Work and Community Workshop Program for Weight Watchers, speaking about losing weight and keeping if off for life; radio host W. Stephen Green, discussing dreaming big and getting results; motivational speaker Trina Pullium, on how to make work fun; and Roxanne Salas, creator of Mind Body Solutions wellness programs, on incorporating Yoga in the workplace.
New features this year include a lunchtime fashion show and make-over session, with a hair stylist and make-up artists in attendance. Businesses will also be showcasing their products at vendor booths.
The registration fee of $115 covers all presentations and workshop materials, continental breakfast and luncheon, and fashion show. A reduced rate of $99 applies for those who have participated in the last two years, or for 10 or more people from the same company who register together.
