Scholarship Fund Created To Benefit FAU Nursing Students
BOCA RATON, FL (Jan. 15 2003) - The Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing is pleased to announce that the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation, Inc. has created a scholarship fund for undergraduate nursing students committed to the nursing of children with genetic disorders upon their graduation.
The Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation was created in 1998 to help promote and lead critical awareness, testing, counseling, and research initiatives that hold promise for the prevention and eventual cure of fatal children's genetic diseases of the brain.
"The scholarships generated from the Mathew Forbes Romer Foundation will support several of our students who will make a difference in the lives of children they are privileged to nurse
especially those with genetic disorders. We look forward to supporting the goals of this Foundation through education and eventually nursing research" said Anne Boykin, dean of FAU's Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing.
