FAU Names Terry Mohajir Associate Athletics Director for External Operations
BOCA RATON (December 14, 2006) - Terry Mohajir was recently named Florida Atlantic University’s Associate Athletics Director for External Operations.
“This promotion will allow Terry to continue in his role as a full time fundraiser. In addition to this, I have asked him to oversee our marketing and promotions, ticket sales, ticket operations, and media relations departments, and to assist with Nelligan Sports Marketing, who handles our corporate sponsorship opportunities,” said Craig Angelos, FAU athletics director. “I believe it is an essential move to better streamline the operation of our athletic department and to a large extent, it will encompass what Terry has done in the past.”
Mohajir came to FAU in December of 2004 as the University’s associate athletics director for development. The added responsibilities of overseeing marketing, ticket sales, corporate sales and the media relations department is both a compliment to his ability to raise unrestricted dollars necessary to balance the athletic department’s budget and the need to centralize efforts.
