FAU Introduces New Degree Program at Open House
Bachelor of Information Engineering Technology Program
DAVIE, FL (July 27, 2006) - Florida Atlantic University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science will host an open house on Tuesday, August 1 from 6 - 8 p.m. on FAU’s Davie campus in the Liberal Arts Building, Room 132. Join the College of Engineering and Computer Science as they introduce the new “Bachelor of Information Engineering Technology Program - B.I.E.T.”
This innovative, new degree program will provide hands-on, practical skills for students transferring to FAU with an Associate of Science degree or at least 60 college credits in areas such as computer programming and analysis, network services technology, computer information technology, computer engineering technology and computer science (networks and programming).
“The B.I.E.T. program opens the door to students pursuing a career in the technology field,” said Ankur Agarwal, computer science instructor at the Treasure Coast campus. “It will provide the educational background they need to aim for higher-level positions in the workforce.”
