Marketing and Creative Services (MCS) within the Division of Communications and Marketing is responsible for reviewing all promotional material for the university including student organizations. This includes print material and merchandise that may or may not contain the university logos. There are processes in place that streamline the approval but it is up to each organization to obtain these approvals prior to the production of materials. Payments and reimbursements will not be made without prior approval.
FAU LOGOS, STUDENT ORGANIZATION LOGOS AND OTHER OFFICIAL GRAPHICS
Student organization may use an official logo in accordance with the FAU brand (FAU logos must be created by the Marketing and Creative Services department.)
or
Student organizations may create their own unique logo/graphic provided it does not incorporate any element of FAU's existing brand logos (i.e., the FAU owl, mascot, wave, FAU logos, etc.)
All logos must be approved prior to production.
CREATING PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL:
To create flyers, posters and postcards, templates are provided at www.fau.edu/communications/mcs/studenttemplates.php. You must use these templates for all materials produced for dissemination to the public including FAU students on and off campus.
PURCHASING MERCHANDISE
All materials must be produced by a licensed vendor. A list of licensed vendors can be found at www.fau.edu/branding/licensees.php. When using a licensed vendor the approval process is automated, therefore, it is not necessary to contact us directly in this case.
