Andra “Annie” Boehning (right), director of Development and Lifelong Learning for the Treasure Coast, understands the importance of philanthropy and the impact it has on one’s community and beyond. As an Annual Fund donor, she has generously given to the Treasure Coast campus’s general fund through payroll deductions. “Everyone has a personal responsibility to give,” says Boehning. “You can share your time or donate a monetary gift. I particularly love supporting FAU because gifts to institutes of higher education keep on giving. Education changes lives and provides opportunities for new generations of students.”
Boehning’s appreciation of philanthropy began while she was a student and when she assumed a leadership role in establishing and executing the first student-driven United Way Campaign on the campus of Indiana State University. Her continued community involvement led to her current career as a professional fundraiser.
Coming from Purdue University in Indiana, Boehning joined FAU in April 2005.
