The Florida Atlantic University School of Social Work offers Professional Development Courses on a periodic basis in response to interests conveyed by members of our community. These courses are intended to provide a service to social workers, family therapists, and mental health professionals who are looking to enhance their knowledge and skills, keep up-to-date with latest information and methods, and network with other colleagues concerned about Professional Development. Our Department of Health provider number for CEU courses is BAP 176. Some of our past offerings have included Competency and Consent, Gay and Lesbian Issues in the Addictions Setting, Proposal Writing, Starting a Non-Profit Organization, Clinicians in Court, and Ethics and End-of-Life Decisions. We can also arrange for in-house workshops for agencies that would like to provide additional training for their staff.
