Drop-in Advising
Meet with a counselor for assistance in choosing a major or to
take career assessment inventories. Get general information about Co-op and Internships, general
information and/or basic critiques of resumes and cover letters, general information on how to
conduct a job search including use of the internet, advice regarding negotiating job offers, salaries,
etc. Get assistance with Interfase Registration (CDC job listing database), general information regarding
on-campus recruiting and Career Day, and information on the Professional Mentoring Program.

The Careers by Major is a guide that provides information about specific majors as well as
occupational opportunities in the field. In collaboration with the Academic Colleges, you can do

On-Campus Recruiting
On-Campus Recruting schedule start at each Career Day (spring and fall semester). In order to participate you must be registered with the Career Development Center's Interfase Database.

The College of Business provides its students with opportunities to acquire real world work experiences
through participation in an internship within their major discipline. Recruitment and networking opportunities

Professional Mentoring Program
Professionals share their career experiences through Informational Interviews (via telephone
or e-mail), on site visits or shadowing. Students can learn first hand about a career by observing and
learning directly from FAU graduates.

Career Day is held every Fall and Spring semester. Over 100 companies participate, and it is a great
opportunity to network with employers and learn about opportunities for Co-op/Internship or permanent employment.
