CDC Services

The CDC is committed to fulfill the following major functions:

To serve as an entry-point for assisting undergraduates in clarifying career goals leading toward making effective and informed decisions in relation to choosing a compatible academic major.
To prepare undergraduates and graduates for professional employment opportunities with increasing emphasis given to electronic job search databases.
To provide career planning and recruitment advisement to alumni contemplating a career change.
To integrate efforts with the FAU academic divisions and additional FAU student affairs offices to provide services and programs that meet the needs of a diverse student population.
To establish, maintain, and enhance internal and external relations with academic divisions of the university and corporate recruiters for the purpose of developing viable work experience opportunities (i.e. cooperative education, internships, part-time and summer employment), and full-time professional employment.
To encourage alumni participation in the general business community to serve as an informational resource base through one-on-one interactions with students, involvement as guest speakers, and participation in career related activities as deemed appropriate.
To enhance career activities and programs by expanding advertising to increase student, alumni, and employer awareness and involvement to meet the goals and mission of the CDC, Student Affairs Division, the University, and the community--the commitment to providing equal and quality educational experiences to FAU students.
