Conferences

The John M. DeGrove Lecture on Growth Management and Development is an annual conference featuring presentations by prominent urban-regional scholars and practitioners.  The conference focuses on current research in growth management, sustainable development, and smart growth.  It aims to encourage interaction among conference participants including exchanges between academics and practitioners.  It also serves as a forum to share professional experiences and to inform and educate the general public.

Current

The inaugural conference in this series was a November 2007 symposium on Growth Management in Florida featuring the Secretary of Florida Department of Community Affairs, the Director of the Center for Urban and Environmental Solutions at FAU, and faculty from Florida State University and FAU.   The second conference is an April 2009 symposium on Climate Change and Urban Development:  What to Expect by 2025 in South Florida.  For more information, go to Upcoming Events.
