The School of Urban and Regional Planning is proud to be home to one of the largest retro-fit solar roof projects in South Florida.  The Solar Roof Initiative is a compilation of student innovation and hard work that has led to:

• A drastic reduction in carbon-based energy consumption by the building that houses the School…
• The ultimate educational tool for students and anyone looking to utilize solar energy in an existing urban environment…
• The Sun Fund Scholarship, the first known scholarship funded by the sun, which assures that every year a planning student will get a chance to make an impact
