On Sunday March 16 at 5:45 am, students gathered for this year's Chair's Event which took students and faculty to Snake Bight in Everglades National Park

On Sunday March 16, this year's Chair's Event took students and faculty to Snake Bight in Everglades National Park. Very few people have the opportunity to see Snake Bight since it only accessible by canoe from the Flamingo Marina in Everglades National Park. We were fortunate that it was that one day that the tides and winds were perfect which made it possible to paddle along the mangrove shores in Florida Bay and get to Snake Bight. Our outstanding guide from the National Park Service, Rancher Tim Downey, showed us the beauty of the area and explained the delicate balance that exists in Florida Bay. Words can really not describe the beauty of the area but the pictures should give you some idea.
