This preparation course is for people who aspire to become a Personal Trainer. Developed to give you the knowledge and hands-on experience that will enable you to become a leader in the fitness field. Students who complete the 10 week course will be prepared to pass a nationally accredited certification. The Personal Trainer Prep Course is not designed to serve as a sole means of studying for a certification - it is meant to be a supplement. Topics include: basic and functional anatomy, applied exercise physiology, program design principles, form and technique instruction, client interaction and nutritional concepts. Practical sessions will apply concepts covered in the lecture and serve to prepare students to work one-on-one with clients.
Enrolled students will have the opportunity to take Campus Recreation’s practical exam and participate in our interview process. Any trainers hired through this preparation course will have one semester to take and pass one of the approved, nationally accredited certification exams.
Enrolled students will also receive 20% of exam costs for the ACE CPT Exam, click here for discounts and details click here.
