Interested in becoming a Member of the Recreation & Fitness Center?
Memberships are available for purchase at the Recreation & Fitness Center Membership Office open Monday - Friday from
8:00am - 7:00pm.

Review Membership Categories (below) for eligibility requirements

Complete the Membership Application Form and, if applicable, Payroll Deduction Form or Monthly Membership Form

Submit Membership and Payroll Deduction or Monthly Membership (if applicable) forms to the Recreation & Fitness Center Membership Office.

Remember to bring your Owl Card as it serves as your Campus Recreation Membership Card. (
If you do not have an Owl Card, a Key tag can be activated for you)

Memberships will be activated the same day memberships forms and payment are remitted.
Membership Options

As of August 1, 2012, the Recreation and Fitness Center has changed the types of memberships available for purchase. Please read the descriptions below to verify your membership type. Semester memberships will no longer be available for purchase. Monthly memberships, however, are available. If you are interested in purchasing the monthly memberships, we require at a three-month commitment. Please see the renewal and cancellation page for details on how to renew or cancel your current membership.

Students
|
Campus Recreation facilities, services and programs are available to all FAU students during the semester for which they are registered. Facility access is granted beginning the first day of classes and continuing until the day before classes begin the following semester. Students qualify for this access by paying the required activity and service fees as part of their tuition. Graduating student's access will stop as the last day of the semester.

Stop-Out Students
|
FAU students taking a single semester off from their studies are welcome to purchase a Campus Recreation Membership. Stop-out Students may purchase a Recreation Membership for no more than one semester after the most recent semester of enrollment. You must be registered for classes the semester following the semester you are taking off. (Example: took classes in the spring, not taking classes in the summer, but registered for classes in the fall). Alumni are
not
eligible for this membership.

(Limited Access)

The Red membership is a limited access membership available to all categories. With the Red membership, individuals are allowed in the facility Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m. - 3 p.m., and all day Friday-Sunday. Participation in Intramural Sports is prohibited with the Red Membership. Individuals are required to be 18+ years of age. Alumni and FAUNAA Members must also join the FAUNAA.Visit the FAUNAA

Household
Adults
|
Adults (18+ years of age) living in the same household as members from groups above are eligible to purchase a Recreation Membership. The qualified household adult must present proof of residency with member at time of purchase.
The household adult does NOT have to become a member of the FAUNAA. Parking not included in membership rate.

Forms of Payment:
You are able to fulfill your payments through one of the following methods: MasterCard, VISA, American Express or Discover. We no longer are accepting Checks as a form of payment. The Recreation and Fitness Center is also a cash free facility.
*Faculty/Staff who wish to purchase the annual membership are able to pay for that via payroll deduction. Deductions will come out of the first paycheck of every month for 12 deductions (12 month contract employees), 10 deductions (10 month contract employees) or 8 deductions (9 month contract employees).
Tax will be assessed to all membership prices at the time of purchase.
