AQUATICS

Beginner Swim
Days Monday & Wednesday

Description     

This class is for participants who are not comfortable or become easily exhausted in the water. The instructor will begin by teaching water adjustment, proper body alignment and use simple, safe drills to encourage proper technique. A large portion of this class will be focused on developing vital stroke mechanics critical to learning the most fundamental freestyle and backstroke techniques. Classes will be tailored to any additional individual wants and needs of its students.

 

Intermediate Swim

Description     

Intermediate Swim is for the adjusted swimmer who wants to advance their swimming skills. The general goals of this class include improved technique and proficiency in freestyle and backstroke, as well as an introduction to butterfly and breaststroke. The student will gain the ability to use water as a medium for recreation and fitness.

Description     

Swim Workout consists of cardio endurance training, strength training, and technique work. Two one-hour sessions per week will allow time for progression through a variety of strokes with the incorporation of form and conditioning drills. Some days will focus more on technique and instruction, while others will challenge your fitness and strength. In addition, participants will work on breathing techniques to increase lung capacity. Swim workout class is designed to prepare students for participation on a club or master’s swim team.

DANCE

Intro to Breakin'

Description      

Breakin’ is a dance rooted in hip hop culture that started in the 1970’s and this class is a series of sessions designed to teach the fundamentals of Breakin’ and basics of Hip Hop culture. Join Zaryn “Zrawk” Sidhu, professional dancer and Bboy competitor, for a 6 week class that will introduce you to the building blocks of break dancing and progress students to the next level. Seasoned dancer or total beginner, all levels are welcome!

Women on Weights

Description     

A resistance training program with enrollment limited to women. This unique program offers 8-weeks of group training in a comfortable, noncompetitive and nonjudgmental environment. The WOW program promotes proper resistance training techniques with a certified personal trainer in a small group setting. This class is a deal-you work with a personal trainer for less than $10 per session!

Outdoor Yoga

Why settle for a replica of natural surroundings when you can have the real thing? Outdoor Yoga will give you just what you need to invigorate your practice or develop a new one. Being outside can intensify the yoga experience in many ways and can teach you to embrace rather than battle the elements experienced in nature. Come enjoy the clean air and Florida sunset as you wind down your day.
