Kickball Tournament
The Intramural Sports Kickball Tournament will
be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Follow the
steps below to ensure your team is included in the
tournament!
STEP 1:
FORM A TEAM AND SELECT TEAM CAPTAIN
Intramural Sport teams are typically
comprised of classmates, roommates, friends, etc. FAU
students and Rec Members are eligible to participate.
Teams must designate a captain for the tournament. Team
captains serve as the liaison between the Intramural Sports
program and members of the team. This person is
responsible for informing their team of all Intramural Sports
policies and procedures and ensuring the eligibility of their
team members. This person may also play for the team they
represent.
STEP 2: REGISTER ONLINE
The team captain should register online to
secure your spot in the tournament. Registration will
be open from Monday, September 27, 2010 - Tuesday, November
2, 2010. . If you do not register online, you may
be able to register on-site at the event; however, you will
not guaranteed a spot.
You are strongly encouraged to register
online.
STEP 3: INFORM YOUR TEAM OF SCHEDULE AND RULES
The format of
the tournament will be determined by the number of teams that
register. Confirmation of your registration will be sent
to your FAU email address
no later than Tuesday, Novemeber 2,
2010. There will be a brief
Captain’s Meeting Wednesday, November 2 at 6:00pm.
Failure to attend this meeting will result in your team’s
removal from the tournament! Games will begin at 6:15pm.
Make sure your team arrives at least 15 minutes prior to your
first scheduled game. Teams may have up to ten players,
but need at least 8 to start the game.
Step 4: PLAY
The Intramural Sports Kickball Tournament will
be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2010 beginning at 6:15pm on
the Housing Lawn. All participants must present a valid
FAU I.D. card in order to participate. This is an open
tournament; there are no gender restrictions. Winning
teams will receive an Intramural Champion t-shirt.
