How to Create a Club 1. Contact the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership, located in Room 203 of the Student Union. Pick up an Intent to Organize form, which must be signed by the Coordinator of Sports and Competition. 2. Student Involvement and Leadership will provide the applying club a packet that must be completed within six weeks. 3. Identify at least ten students interested in joining your organization. 4. Identify a faculty or staff member that will serve as an advisor to your club. 5. Complete the petition for Official Registration Form and Club Constitution and return to Graduate Assistant for Student Involvement and Leadership within six weeks. 6. Approval process takes place within the Department of Campus Recreation, Student Involvement and Leadership and Student Government. 7. Once approved, a meeting will be scheduled with the club officer(s), faculty/staff advisor, and Coordinator of Sports and Competition. The purpose of the meeting is to review the University, Department of Campus Recreation and Club Sports policies and procedures.
