Beverage Machines
Florida Atlantic University has an exclusive beverage pouring rights contract with Pepsi. A mix of Pepsi beverage products are distributed throughout the FAU campuses. These vending machines operate primarily with coin and paper currency. Many are equipped with a reader that offers discounts and convenience when purchases are made with the OWL Card. The discount varies among product selection. 20 oz bottled carbonated beverages are $1.00 with the OWL Card versus $1.25 cash price.Snack Machines
Florida Atlantic University also has an exclusive snack contract with Gilly Vending, Inc. Gilly offers the FAU community an innovative program with regards to product selection, state of the art equipment, incentives for students, discounts for card purchases just to name a few. Snack machines include ice cream, milk, frozen foods and snacks. Products include national and international known brands, gourmet, organic and healthier choices. Antiquated food machines have been replaced with machines that contain national brand frozen products, including Jimmy Dean, Nathan's, Thomas' and others. This offers improved food safety standards over the vending of sandwiches in the past.
Many of the machines are equipped with card readers, which offer a 20% discount when the OWL Card is used to make purchases.
All requests to add or remove vending machines on any FAU campus must be coordinated by the Business Services Office.
Machine Problems
Reports of malfunctioning machines should be made to the Owl Card center by calling 561-297-2700. Malfunctioning machines should be reported immediately to prevent further inconvenience to users.
Refunds
The FAU OWL Card Center, located in the Boca Raton Studnet Union, serves as the central vending refund center on the Boca Raton Campus.
Refunds may be obtained from 8 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
If a user is on another FAU campus or the location noted is inconvenient, please contact Business Services at 561-297-2700 to obtain a refund.
Vending coupons are given for monies lost in snack machines. Cash refunds are given for monies lost in beverage machines.
