The 25th Annual Broward Achievement Awards honored ten outstanding FAU Broward Campuses students, faculty and staff members during a lunchtime ceremony on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the FAU Davie campus. The silver anniversary-themed event featured a catered gourmet buffet and remarks by Dr. Corey A. King, Vice President for Student Affairs and Anthony Abbate, Associate Provost Broward Campuses.
The event was organized by the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of the Associate Provost, Broward Campuses. In addition, the winner of the Jeff Klein Award received a $500 scholarship from Steve’s Espresso, the café located inside the FAU Davie Student Union.

The guest keynote speaker was Celito Dorsainvil, a two-time FAU alumnus who graduated with his Master of Accounting degree in 2014. During his tenure at FAU, Dorsainvil was recognized for his commitment to leadership. While at FAU, Dorsainvil earned the coveted Owl of the Year, Student Government Governor’s and President’s Award. He is also a member of FAU’s True Blue and Alumni Association. Dorsainvil works as an external auditor at one of the largest public global accounting firms in South Florida.
“This great tradition of recognizing the achievements of our students, faculty and staff spotlights the best that FAU has to offer,” said Rafael Zapata, Director of Campus Life. “I would like to congratulate all of the winners. Their leadership and academic achievements make all of us at FAU proud!”
